"Reflections of Spring" ~ 16"h x 20"w Hudson River School A Painting a Day Landscapes by Connie Tom

This is the first in a series of paintings on Spring. I have done so many on Autumn, I thought it was time to reflect the beauties of Spring with it's emerging color and new life. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed painting it! Connie

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." ~ Matthew 7:7-8.

"Wilderness Twilight" ~ 30"w x 24"h A Painting a Day Daily Luminous Landscape Paintings by Connie Tom

There is something so wonderful about the wilderness. I love the solitude and nature in the wild. Especially when there is a dramatic sunset or sunrise lighting that's also reflected in the water. And red is such a cheerful and exciting color. This one was like a fireworks explosion on the fourth of July. ~ Enjoy!

"Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God." ~ Psalm 50:23.

"Autumn's Welcoming III" ~ 30"w x 24"h A Painting a Day Hudson River School landscapes by Connie Tom

Autumn is my favorite season of the year. Imagine yourself within this scene...you would sense the quietness, solitude and safety around you, hearing only the sounds of the woodland animals and birds singing, bask the welcoming warmth of the sunshine shining upon you. Listen to the rustle of the leaves as a slight breeze romances it's way through the trees, and enjoy the beauty of nature. Enjoy!

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." ~ Matthew: 28:18-20

"A Place of Refuge II" ~ 30" x 24" A Painting A Day Hudson River School Landscapes by Connie Tom

"A Place of Refuge II" is the second in a series of paintings that I am doing entitled "Places of Refuge Series". This work pictures a view of Bennett Springs, near Lebanon, Missouri. This is just one of the many beautiful retreats that we have here in the Ozarks. ~Enjoy!

"Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways." ~ Haggai 1:5-7.

"Rainbow Trout in Red" ~ 54"hx 42"w Hudson River School A Painting a Day Landscapes by Connie Tom

This is a commission painting I did for the lobby over the fireplace of a fishing retreat beautiful log facility. The owner wanted the atmospheric conditions to reflect red in the air and water. I wanted "some" background elements to show up. The trick was to keep them pretty obscure so as to leave the rainbow trout the main attraction. Enjoy!

"For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55:10-11.
