"Lanterns of Gold II" ~ 30" x 24" A Painting a Day Hudson River School Autumn Tree Landscapes by Connie Tom

This is the second in a series of oil paintings that I did entitled the "Lanterns of Gold Series". I love the colors of autumn and I love trees and being out in the woods. And I am especially fascinated with how light reflects off of water still on the many colored autumn leaves when the morning dew is still fresh on the leaves. They glisten like "Lanterns of Gold". I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed painting it. ~Connie

"The Lord hath prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word. Bless ye the Lord, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure. Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul. ~ Psalm 103:19-22

This original oil painting by Connie Tom sold at the "MARCH IN MONTANA" Fine Art Auction hosted by Manitou Galleries and The Couer d' Alene Art Auctions. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand." ~ Psalm 37:23-24.

"Harbor Sunrise" ~ 24"x20" A Painting a Day Hudson River School landscapes by Connie Tom

"Harbor Sunrise" This was another study I did of the Hudson River School master artists who painted in the 1800's. I loved this early sunrise and all the prismatic colors showing in the sky, clouds, water and atmosphere. Enjoy!

"For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear..." Hebrews 13:5-6.

"Shimmering Gold" ~ 30"h x 24"w A Painting A Day Hudson River School Colorado Landscapes by Connie Tom

The shimmering gold of the aspens is a beautiful contrast to the deep bluish purple of the mountains. According to Indian legend, the aspens quiver eternally because they once failed to do so before the Great Spirit. Enjoy!

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." ~ John 15:4-5.
