This is the third painting that I have done of flowers and grasses. Now in the middle of summer, the grass is so lush and green with all the rainfall we have been having and the beautiful and vibrand colors of the flower stand out strikingly in contrast to the grass. ~ Enjoy!

Several years ago, I had the privilege of riding with some friends to visit their friend... the one in the painting.He was 91 years of age and full of wit and wisdom. I tell a funny story about him on my website. He must have loved his wife, he spoke of her often even though she had passed away five years prior. Now these beagle hounds filled the gap. Even though the pups he tenderly holds are yapping, clamoring for attention, he is still the main attraction. There was such a kindness about him. He's passed on now, but memory of him still remains. Enjoy!

There's nothing so mystical as the sunlight filtering through the atmosphere in an early morning sunrise on the lake. The fog is still hovering over the water and it's sooooo peaceful! Just the sounds of nature that you might hear...the rippling of water as a fish breaks the surface, a slight breeze in the air. ~ Enjoy!

This was a commission painting I did. I love how the beautiful wildflowers seem to spring up and thrive even in the midst of such rugged mountainous country. Oh, that we could be more like them when times are hard. I love the contrast of the delicacy and size of the flowers to the massiveness of the mountains. It was so much fun to paint. I love all the cheery colors. The dark mountains seem to heighten the vibrancy of the hues in the flowers. ~ Enjoy!

"Reflections of Spring I" was a delight to paint. After having painted seven in a series of reflections of Autumn, this is the first painting in a new series of paintings of Spring. The scene is from an elevated stance overlooking God's beautiful creation at sunset. An early evening fog meanders it's way through the hills. If the viewer can imagine themselves into this scene, they would sense the calmness of nature and enjoy the solitude and breathe in the fresh country air. They might smell the sweet scent of wildflowers growing effortlessly at their feet and watch the sun's glow move slowly across the horizon. ~ Enjoy!

I love to paint beautiful sunsets and sunrises and people out in nature having fun. This work pictures a panaramic view of two lucky fishermen up at the crack of dawn out in their boat on the lake ready to get their first catch of the day. Sunsets and sunrises often sets the mood and atmosphere of the terrain. Today the dramatic lighting has got to accentuate the thrill, freedom and exhilaration of their morning. ~ Enjoy!

This work pictures a mid-view of water with two canoeists in a canoe in autumn. Autumn is in full array and it's exciting reds and wonderful colors are being reflected in the water. I thought about putting a horizon line or a ground line in the upper portion of the painting, but decided to leave the whole scene in view of the beautiful autumn reflections in the water. I liked the blurriness of the colorful reflections in the water in contrast to the distinctiveness of the canoeists and the canoe. ~ Enjoy!

It's exhilarating to me to walk through the woods after it rains or when the morning dew is still wet upon the leaves. As the sun begins to shine, the sunlight reflects from off the leaves and glistens like "Lanterns of Gold". This is the fifth painting I have done a series of autumn tree paintings called "Lanterns of Gold". ~ Enjoy!

Usually it's the sun or the moon in my paintings that is the focus of the picture, however in this one it's the lone boater captured in the reflection of the the moon and it's halo in the water. The lone boater seems captured by the light. ~ Enjoy!
