This lovely young lady has been waiting for someone down by the river on this early autumn morn. Clearly from her look to the right and the smile on her face, whoever it is she is greeting has come. I'll leave it to the viewer to decide... who it was that she is greeting. Was it a lover? a friend? a sister? You finish the story. Please note the indepth detail in the vines curling up around the main tree, the haze from the sun that fades some elements in the scene, the grasses and wildflowers on the banks and the brushwork and colors in the sky and the clouds. This is the season when many people love to take vacations. If you are like me, I love to get away to some place remote where I can find peace and solitude. This work pictures a sunrise through the mist and the fog of blue spruce trees and berry bushes in the rugged country of the Yukon Territory located in Alaska. The sun glints light off of the dew that is still upon the foliage and causes many beautiful prismatic color to be seen through the atmosphere. This is the season when many people love to take vacations. If you are like me, I love to get away to some place remote where I can find peace and solitude. This work pictures a sunrise through the mist and the fog of blue spruce trees and berry bushes in the rugged country terrain of the Yukon Territory located in Alaska. The sun glints light off of the dew that is still upon the foliage and causes many beautiful prismatic colors to be seen through the atmosphere. It's always exhilarating to get out and enjoy 'nature in the wild'. But when you can't get away, it's nice to have this painting as a visual reminder that we can kind of imagine ourselves into. ~ Enjoy!
