This was a study of another Hudson River School master, Jasper Cropsey, who painted back in the 1800's and who also is a favorite of mine. I guess the reason I love the Hudson River School masters' work is that the color, light, atmosphere, and mood of their paintings are therapudic to me. They lift my spirit, they soothe my anxieties all with the purity of their work. Enjoy!
