"Camilia" ~ 3/28/08 A Painting A Day Landscapes and Flower Still Lifes by Connie Tom
"Camilia" has been one of my favorite florals to do simply because I love the beautiful colors of this flower in contrast with the background. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed painting it! Connie
"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints." ~ Ephesians 1:17-18.

"Mallow" ~ 3/27/08 A Painting A Day Spring Flowers Still Lifes and Landscapes by Connie Tom
I loved the transparency and intricate almost lacy look in the make up and delicacy of this beautiful flower called "Mallow". Flowers are truly one of God's delights He gives to us to enjoy. I hope you enjoy this painting of one! Connie
"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name." ~ Malachi 3:16.

"Flowers and Grasses" ~ 3/26/08 A Painting a Day Spring Landscape by Connie Tom
As one season changes into another, as winter changes into spring, the earth seems to come alive from the dead. I love to watch how flowers seem to spring up out of the ground and the grasses began to grow and sway in the sweet, warm breeze graced with sunlight. ~ Enjoy!
"As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good." ~ Ecclesiastes 11:5-6.

"CREEK RETREAT XI" ~ 3/10/08 A Painting a Day LUMINOUS LANDSCAPES by Connie Tom

This is the 11th work I've done in this series depicting "Creek Retreats". This work pictures a midview of a creek running through the country. On both sides of the creek are big river elm and oak trees bent over the creek like a canopy. A sunset shining down on the creek reflects the beautiful autumn foliage. ~ Enjoy!
"Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour." ~ Ecclesiastes 10:1.
