"Lanterns of Gold IV" ~ 12/17/07 A Painting a Day by Connie Tom

When I walk through the woods, I find myself in awe of the beauty of nature. I am aware of the life teeming all around me, be it plant or animal. As an artist, I watch with interest the play of light on the millions of leaves as the wind creates movement in the branches and limbs. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed painting it! ~Connie

"O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
"Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth. The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works." ~ Psalms 104:24, 30-31

"My Utmost for His Highest" ~ 12/09/07 A Painting a Day by Connie Tom

The title for this work was taken from a devotional book I love to read by Oswald Chambers. What higher goal could an artist have? The size of this work is 24"h x 20"w. This painting was a study done of a work by Thomas Moran of Kanab Canyonlands.
~ Enjoy!

"Autumn's Impression III" ~ 12/06/07 A Painting a Day by Connie Tom

Wouldn't you like to have this log cabin as a your own personal retreat to escape to with the ones you love whenever you would like? Just imagine.... sitting on the front porch of this log cabin that sits on the side of a hill in the autumn woods, watching the morning sunrise. Seeing the morning fog still hovering over the blue-purplish mountains on the other side, watching a herd of mountain sheep heading toward a river down in the valley below for a morning drink. You could go canoing or fishing at your leisure, no time schedule, plenty of groceries and good food, clean linens, curtains on the windows, and a fire in the fireplace for when it gets a little cool. Candles, of course! Some chairs on the front porch to sit in outside or to take a walk to explore the countryside and enjoy the myriad of beautiful, autumn colors with which God creates in. Hear the breeze rustling through the treetops and all the wonderful sounds of the woodland creatures and enjoy the simplicity and purity of nature. ~ Enjoy!

"Silvery Blue" ~ 12/03/07 A Painting a Day by Connie Tom

The colorful autumn birches stand out in a pleasing to the eye contrast against the silvery blue waters of this mountain lake in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. Enjoy!

"This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (the Son), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." ~ 1 John 5:6-7

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God." 1 John 5:4-5
