"A Walk Through the Woods III" ~ 10/31/07 A Painting a Day by Connie Tom

Sold!

Collection of Lynn Tracy ~ Defiance, MO

"A Walk Through The Woods III" was a fun painting to paint. I love intimacy of the interior of the woods. I love sunlight and the light, cheery colors of autumn and the abundance of leaves. It reminds me that I am surrounded with goodness and good things. Enjoy! ~Connie

"The Still Small Voice" ~ 10/30/07 A Painting a Day by Connie Tom

SOLD!

Collection of Tom DiMartino ~ Buffalo, NY

"The Still Small Voice" was another intense study I did of Hudson River Master Frederick E. Church. The wilderness is a place for solitude and quiet contemplation. The Boston Evening Transcript published this in Church's day:
Solitude reigns over the scene, and as the eye ever turns away
from the wilderness below to gaze upon the brilliant canopy of the sky,
the imagination whispers that he who was once
'led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted,
must often at the twilight hour have turned his gaze
from the gloom and loneliness of the forest
to the brightness and beauty of those heavens
which to his vision of faith were ever opened,
revealing the 'Father of Lights'.

"Autumn's Hidden Sanctuary III" ~ 10-26-07 A Painting a Day by Connie Tom

SOLD!
Collection of Ron Meyers ~ Kailua Kona, HI

The gold of autumn leaves are laced with sunlight in this woodland sanctuary. I had a problem with the photography of this work. The actual painting is not quite so intense of yellow, and has a delicate lace of sunlight of white, tinted with just a little yellow that is not showing up in the photo. Almost like a very light cream colored lace. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed painting it! ~ Connie

"The Hummingbird Arch" ~ 10/19/07 A Painting a Day by Connie Tom

Sold!

Collection of Jeffrey Antisdel ~ Niles, MI

This is a view from my front porch that I see when I go out to drink my morning coffee. There is twig that has made an arch in the opening of the branches of a gigantic oak tree and the hummingbirds have made a favorite place to perch on that arch. The sunrays shine right through the opening. Enjoy!

"Hope" ~ 10/17/07 A Painting A Day by Connie Tom ~ Luminous Oil Paintings

Sold!

Collection of Jeffrey Antisdel ~ Niles, MI

Our walk through this life can sometimes be like walking through a forest of tall trees. The trees can represent circumstances bigger than we are that aren't going to move and we must walk on through. Sometimes there are obstacles in the way that we must step over. Sometimes the path is uneven and rocky. We must always keep our eyes on the light representing that which is good, and we will see our way through. The beauty and refreshment of the waterfall and lake at the end gives us the drive to walk on in "Hope".

"The Chair" ~ 10/05/07 A Painting a Day by Connie Tom

Sold!

Collection of Rick Call ~ Jacksonville, FL

With the lights flickering from the ice on the trees, grass and chair, this work is exemplary of the wonderful lighting effects created by the Hudson River School artists of the 1800's, always believing that the human spirit is nurtured through nature by God. Enjoy!
