"The Cowboy" ~ 30"x20" A Painting a Day Luminous Cowboy and Indian Western Landscapes by Connie Tom

"The Cowboy" ~ 20"h x 30"w Original Oil Painting by Connie Tom Western

I still love westerns on television and in the movies. Even the old ones. Our family watched them ever since we were kids. So the image of a cowboy stirs up the emotions of virtues of a hero of a sort. They were the ones saving the day, righting the wrongs, saving damsels in distress, living hard, but dedicated to their work. This cowboy was probably all cleaned up after a dusty trail ride, just sitting by the fire and relaxing and thinking. What is he thinking about? Maybe the hard days work, his love back home, maybe just about life. You decide.... Enjoy!

"Spirit of the West" ~ 30"x24" A Painting a Day Hudson River School Western Landscapes by Connie Tom

"SPIRIT OF THE WEST" ~ 24"h x 30"w Original Oil Painting by Connie Tom

Imagine yourself being in the Old West, standing out in the open prairie, with the wild open plains, horses running free, the drama in the sky and clouds, teepees on the horizon... It's anybody's guess what could happen next. Enjoy!
