I liked the idea of leaving the whole painting in view of the water. I liked the contrast between the reflections of the foliage which are somewhat blurry leaving the canoeist, the canoe and the trees standing out of the water distinct. ~Enjoy!

"Reflections of Autumn VII" was fun to paint. I love autumn and I love to paint the reflections and movement in water. One reason I guess is that I love the bodies of water themselves. This is like standing at the water's edge and gazing down into the water to see the reflections of autumn leaves and some fallen leaves adrift in the moving water. ~Enjoy

There's a glare from the easel light on the upper part of the painting that just isn't there in the actual painting.
